September Coaching Log + Change of Plans!

One other run that didn’t really feel nice which suggests I’m proper on monitor for a PR on Saturday!  This at all times occurs to me the week of my finest races.

9/1:  10 miles trails @ 9:44 common

9/2:  7.24 miles @ 8:25 common

9/3:  20.22 miles @ 7:05 common.  7.5 miles on trails and 12.72 miles on roads.  2.5-mile w/u, 5-mile push on trails (6:49 common), 4 miles float (low 7’s), 5 miles quick on roads (6:09 common), c/d.

(80 miles for that week)

9/5: 10 miles @ 8:18 common

9/6: 14.5 miles @ 8:59 trails and roads.

9/7: 20 x 400m with equal standing recoveries.  We began with 85-second 400s and labored all the way down to a 75-second 400.  Between the w/u, exercise, c/d, and miles I did with Andrew and Beck later—> 18 miles for the day.

9/8: 10 miles @ 9:15 common trails and roads.

9/9: 6.47 miles @ 9:09 common

9/10:  22 miles @ 6:48 common.  W/u, 10 miles @ 6:07 tempo (downhill for the primary 4 miles), 1 mile simple, 5 miles @ 6:15 tempo, C/D

(80 miles for the week)

9/12:  10 miles @ 9:52 common (path and street)

9/13: 8 miles @ 8:46 common

9/14: 16 miles complete @ 7:45ish common (struggled with my watch)—> w/u, 10 x 1 min exhausting, 1 min simple + 10 x 30 sec exhausting, 30 sec simple.  SUCH a tough run for some motive.

9/15: Off.  I used to be imagined to run 9 miles, however my hamstring and physique informed me to take a relaxation day.

9/16:  8 miles @ 8:32 tempo

9/17: 16 miles complete with a 10k within the center 36:53 (5:56 common).

(57 miles ((was imagined to do 66))

9/19: 8 miles @ 8:34 common

9/20: 7.48 miles @ 8:25 common

9/21:   15 miles @ 7:13 with 7 x MTC (half flat, principally down) miles averaging 5:32

9/22:  7 miles @ 8:43 common

9/23:  Yoga as a result of my hamstring needed a break day.

9/24:  11 miles complete (undecided total tempo as a result of I forgot to start out my look ahead to a bit throughout w/u) w/ a 5k time trial internet downhill common tempo 5:36.

(48 miles for the week, was imagined to do 54)

9/26:  6.07 miles @ 8:40 common tempo

9/27:  7 miles @ 7:45 common with 2 miles somewhat quicker than marathon tempo (6:08) + 4 x 30 second strides!

9/28: 5 miles @ 8:59 common.

9/29:  3 miles!

9/30:  Undecided if I’ll run or not the day earlier than the marathon?!

10/1–> 26.2!!!!

Ought to I run the day earlier than the marathon or not?  

-I didn’t run the day earlier than Boston this 12 months; my physique cherished that, so I’d attempt that once more!

Who can be working Boston 2023?!  We have to plan a meet-up!

Ever backed out of a race?  How come?

-That is my 2nd time doing this with CIM, oops!

48 hours to go—> any recommendation for me on Saturday?
