Athletics Canada is uniting Canada’s high highway races with the launch of their new 2023 Highway Race Label Program. This program will act because the group’s first-ever nationwide highway racing sequence with the intention to extend the variety of high-level competitions throughout the nation.
On Jan. 11, Athletics Canada revealed 12 races spanning 4 provinces that shall be part of this system. The sequence will start with Vancouver’s First Half in February and ends with the Hamilton Road2Hope 5K in November.

Canada Working Collection (CRS) race director Alan Brookes informed Athletics Canada he’s “delighted” to have 4 CRS races within the sequence. “I imagine this sequence is a collaborative think-tank of one of the best leaders in our Canadian road-running group,” states Brookes.
CRS’s first race within the sequence would be the Below Armour Toronto 10K on June 17 and finish with the TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon on Oct. 15, which can act because the Canadian 2024 Paris Olympic Trials alongside the nationwide marathon championships.
